Got up and packed. 

Said good bye to Dave hilary and Shirley

Walked the beach

Sat on the beach for an hour but it was really windy

Got the cab to the airport

Had $16 burger at Johnny Rockets

Flight not too bad....got lucky with no one beside us

Home about 12:30

Place clean and flowers from Geoff and Lydia and Art and kevin 

Home sweet home ....in the rain :( 

Walked the beach for the last time

Tried snorkeling but too murky

Hilary ron and I went to hear the salsa band at la sirenas. Did some dancing. 

Had a very lazy day.

Everyone went to be early so ron and I started watching breaking bad

Short power walk.... not much energy

Went to the beach. Perfect beach day ... sunny warm and not too windy

Went snorkeling off the beach but water murky.

Went into Playa. 

Walked along the beach

Had dinner and walked 5th avenue.

Got home 11:00 .

Had breakfast and went to the Wed. market in town

Was cooler and calmer after the storm. 

Went for a power walk.

Decided because it wasn't windy to go snorkeling. It was fabulous....2 hrs and 2 different spots.

Came home and had lunch.

Went to the beach. The wind came up and it clouded over so we came home early.

Relaxed and read..,, pretty boring :(

Shirley took us all out for pizza dinner. 

Had quite a bit of wine throughout the evening .... lol

Went to town to get supplies

Ate dinner at home.....more chicken and salad and potato :(

Tried to go to Unico to get a chair on the beach but too late all taken

Got our chairs...but no umbrella... and sat on the beach. Soooooo windy

Walked into town for supplies.

Ate the chicken mole for dinner

Went downtown for the salsa band

Did some dancing

Got home at 12:30 

A stormy day. 

Ron and I walked the beach.

Walked into town to kill time.

I walked and bought some prawns.

After dinner we walked into town to see what was happening. Nothing going on

Came home and had a drink here.

Went for a power walk in the morning.

Sat around the pool for a bit then had lunch.

Ron and I walked the beach...weather started to deteriorate 

Sat on the deck and watched another storm roll through. Cloudy for the rest if the day

We all went into town for dinner at the same place we went for our anniversary.

We bought some supplies and came home.

Walked back into town at 9:00 to see the local coronation of 3 ages king and queen. A couple of fireworks and lots and lots of police because the governor was there. 

All the locals were really dressed up in heels and dresses and lots of little kids too. It must be a big day of celebration for the locals of the town.

Stormy morning...lots of rain 

Cleared a bit. Hilary and I went for a walk on the beach to get out

Mostly read and caught up on emails on the porch for the rest of the day.

Ron and I walked into town for something to do.

Ate dinner at home.

Played triominoes. 

Watched naked Netflix.

Got up early and got gas then took the car back.

Really hot and sticky by 9:00.

Had a small breakfast then walked 2 hours on the beach.

Stopped at Unico for a beer on a swing.

Walked into town with Dave and hilary for something to do. Had a 2 x 1 Marg

Had happy hour with Shirley on the deck....made her a piña colada. 

Had a light dinner and the storm hit. Lots of lightening and rain.

Walked into town in a break in the weather. Went to see a festival but started to rain again so went home. 

Woken up by the maids... Hello !!

Had a quick breakfast and into the car.

Drove to Puerto Morelos 4 hrs. On the way ron and Dave stopped at the toll booth and had an Italian expresso. 

Went swimming in the pool and I unpacked. 

Really frustrated as everyone was immediately on their phones ... watching YouTube etc.

Hilary and I drove to playa to the mega store. Did a huge shop.

Had dinner when we returned.

Did some emailing then everyone went to  bed :(

I am very frustrated ....arggg 

Had breakfast then walked to the Mercado 

Very interesting. HUGE!! Hundreds and hundreds of stalls . For Mexicans ...crowded. Selling everything veggies, shoes, spices, live animals, tools. People fixing cell phones, watches, making shoes from new leather, hair dressers.

Walked back . Went for a swim. Showered. 

Went to the Mayan museum . Very interesting. 

Went to Karen's suggestion for dinner . 

Pasta ...good but uber rich and expensive. 

Ron and I went to look for coffee and on the walk home we saw a great Mexican dance troupe in the square.

Watched naked Netflix. 

Had breakfast earlyish so we could get out before the heat.

Walked to Paseo De Montejo where the colonial houses are. Because it was Sunday the street was blocked so families could cycle. Really interesting walking but slow go as it was HOT and humid. 

On the walk back we saw some typical Mexican streets and much of it reminded us of Trinidad.

We came across a plaza that had a salsa band and lots of people dancing,.., mostly over. 60.,, lol

We were really hot and uber sticky by the time we got home

Went for a swim and relaxed before dinner

Drove to  the market in the town square so Shirley could buy some earrings.

Went to dinner at Hennessy for some non Mexican food.

Sat on the roof deck as there was a nice breeze.

LPacked up and drove to Merida. 3 1/2 hrs of boring straight road.

Found the house....amazing !!

Settled in and Ron and I went for a walk. It was really hot and humid :(

We sussed out a few places that were recommended for dinner. 

Saw a few sights and had a nice young fellow from the tourist bureau help us get some antihistamines for Ron's huge mosquito bites. He is really suffering and has been eaten alive :(

Came home and tried to cool ourselves.

Drove to a traditional Mayan restaurant.

Food was excellent..., mostly turkey and pork ..go figure. The food was served with pumpkin seed purée and cooked in banana leaves.
